| Hsieh, Ching-chi is an Associate Professor and the former chairperson of the Department of Social Psychology at Shih Hsin University. She teaches social psychology: sociological approach, criminology, deviant behavior and juvenile delinquency, selected readings in social psychology, seminar in social psychology, seminar on advanced social psychology, and seminar on social psychology of crime. She received her Master and Ph. D. from the Department of Sociology at Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. Her research interests are in the fields of social psychology and criminology. She especially centered on studying crime-related subjects from the perspective of Symbolic Interactionism. Dr. Hsieh has previously published research articles on high school dropouts, fear of crime, moral development and deviant behavior, and motorcycle and car racing on streets. Recently she has been working on punishment and social reaction, and self-esteem and juvenile delinquency. She is a member of American Society of Criminology and Chinese Criminology Association. |
